Practising as a barrister in Hong Kong since 2013, Athena possesses extensive experience and a global perspective.  She was also admitted to the New York State Bar in 2016.  Her cross-disciplinary expertise is grounded in a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Jurisprudence from Oxford University, a Master of Laws (LLM) in Law and Technology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

Her practise focuses on cross-border commercial, family, land and probate cases.  Before practising as a barrister, she had extensive experience in negotiating pricing and commercial terms for multinational corporations, including Coca-Cola and Hutchison.

In 2019, she was invited to write a book review for Emden’s Construction Law Hong Kong.  Further, she co-authored the chapter on Hong Kong law for the 1st and 2nd editions of the Complex Commercial Litigation Law Review.

During her judicial appointments, she adjudicated various commercial disputes.
